Unhappy Dropped my glock

I dropped my glock 17 today about 3-4 feet directly onto a slab of rock/cement. Just made a thud. It landed on the rear of the slide and there are a few marks there now, everything LOOKS ok but I wanted to check here and see if this could affect accuracy or something internal that I can't see. I had an airsoft rifle once, and after I dropped it it never shot straight again.

I dropped my GLOCK 26 once, and the manner in which it hit the ground was enough to drift the rear sight (still had the cheap plastic factory sights at the time) slightly off center, which could definitely affect accuracy. You might want to check to make sure your sights are still centered. If they are out of alignment, it's pretty much a 1 minute job for the average gunsmith to move it back into alignment.

it's a glock for crying out loud - it probably even enjoyed the fall and the landing - there should be nothing in there that wil be affected - airsoft is a completely different story................ as long as your sights aren't knocked off........

I dumped my Glock's mag onto the ground once. (gasp)
It's OK folks...(you know who you are, )everything's fine!

Seriously though, other than the sights, I can't imagine you'll have anything to worry about. You can always take it to a gunsmith and ask them to look it over.

glocks have survived being (intentionally) dropped from airplanes, dragged behind moving vehicles, shot with .22s, etc. etc. and kept on tickin', so you'll prolly be OK.

google "glock torture test".

Yes, LITERALLY, this dude abuses his glock like most wouldn't abuse the weapon of their worst enemy.

Allow me to reiterate that,

This dude drops his glock from a freaking Airplane. Then finds it, presses the trigger, and it goes boom.

All good news, thanks. The rear site....it might have moved. I will take it to the range and see for sure when I get a few bucks together.

a beretta? no way.

When i pull back the slide, and this has been happening for a while now, i can hear a kind of grinding. This has something to do with the recoil spring. Not sure what though. I have spare springs and it doesnt happen with them installed. However, this spring has been used for no more than 1000 rounds maximum, probably closer to 500. Any thoughts on that?
