If i were in the market for an AR-15 pistol, which i am but need an M1A more. I would get the Olympic Arms OA-93.

Not that im a fan of Olympic Arms, but more because the OA-93 is the only AR-15 pistol i know of that doesnt have a buffer tube.

Just my .02 if anyone here has ever shot one, or handled one post up if you liked it or not.

The few bushmaster kabooms don't worry me too much, I've seen more than a few Glocks go boom too...

Those Olys look damn sexy without the buffer tube... MSRP of 1,080... I'm gonna search around and see what kind of deal I can find on those.
The Bushmaster is still my number 1 pick though, on account of the fancy fluted barrel and WEIGHT (or lack thereof). I want a pistol that I can fire like a pistol with one hand. The bushy 97 definitely fills that order. The Oly I was looking at tips the scales at 4.x pounds!

As for whether or not it's "easy on the eyes," that will always be an individual judgement call. However, in defense of the Kel-Tec PLR-16, I can say this:

- No buffer tube sticking out the rear
- It does accept all AR-15 magazines
- Well-reviewed by American Hangunner
- Nice forend and muzzle brake available
- Perhaps the least-expensive option

I don't personally like the looks of the PLR, and looks play a big role in my purchases. If I don't admire a gun, I probably won't buy it. That doesn't mean I won't consider it though! Do have a Kel-Tec P3AT, and I know what a stand up company they are, so I haven't ruled the PLR out just yet!

Stop the presses!! It looks like it's dangerous to shoot ANY AR-15. Point is, it is quite easy to coerce someone into believing your beliefs with "proof" from the web.
