Not so big when you put them next to a 16" ar with stock . I thought they were stupid too, until I got one.

And if you put a stock on it it would be an SBR, an NFA item. It's more fun without the stock.

Anyway, Olympic has a decent (I use decent loosely) AR pistol, as does Kel Tec.

I know it would make it an NFA, but it'd be so nice to spend $60, for a stock instead of paying about $500 more for that size gun probably, plus all the waiting and paperwork... damn gov't

id have to say that, yeah, most ar pistols are indeed huge!
in re to the keltec, yes, it does use ar mags and once you put that front handguard on,
i think it pretty sharp looking. plus many people have been pleased with it.
id look int one or maybe just build your own with like a model-1 kit or something.
just my opinion.

I agree. It's so damn stupid to be forced to jump through all their hoops! If there is one group that needs to go bye, bye it's the ATF! Bill T.

I'm not knocking the AR pistols, I just don't get them. It seems lining up the sights would be difficult at best and recoil would be a bit much if using the sights (two handed hold, gun out in front pistol style)? Perhaps I just need to shoot one to understand.

Now an SBR or a folding stock model....Now your talking!! I think I would really like one of those.

I have had a Carbon 15 for a few years now (rifle), actually I bought it used. I have about 1.5k down the pipe, not sure how many the previous owner(s) had. It has been a great gun for me, superlight and works well. One of the guns I will likely never sell.

Recoil with a .223 handgun is next to nothing. A lot of blast and flash, but not much else. Try shooting a M-4 one handed, same deal. Not to be insulting but I think the .223 / 5.56 MM is a great womans caliber. My wife wouldn't own 3 if it weren't. Bill T.

You need to shoot one to understand. My 110# girlfriend loves shooting it, as stated, .223 has no recoil/kick to begin with. Big flash, loud, and lots of fun. You hold it like a normal ar rifle, cheek weld against the buffer tube, and it's just a comfortable gun to shoot. Like I said before, I have always thought that AR pistols were one of the most stupid things out there. I then acquired one for a great price and wish I bought one sooner! It's the most fun gun that I own, they're cheap, reliable, and durable.

AR -15's should be designated as Air-15's. My wifes comment, not mine. It really is a womans caliber don't 'ya know. Bill T.
