XD45,
What's up with that? Senior moment??? ;-)

For years I only carried CCI Lawman .380 JHP.
Fired so many thru the PPK/S that I lost track, with NO FTF or FTE.
Can't get it anymore, so I carry whatever I am shooting this month...WWB, Federal HS, and Wolf Gold JHP.
I "love" CORBON ammo, but it is so costly....
I'd rather use what I know will go BANG!

I just bought a Beretta 85FS .380 a couple weeks ago & I carry it more now than my 9mm or the 40cal.!!! Great little Beretta!

I dont know that corbon is good for the p3at, I came across this review http://www.ktrange.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=1523, and it seems it doesnt reach the velocity to expand the corbon.

XD45,
Very interesting...I have a few rounds left from my last box of Corbon...Think I'll put them thru the PPK/S and see what happens...
P3ATs and +P:...First time with it at the range, I got the story of another P3AT owner who had a barrel explode just weeks before.
Although the Corbon Box did not say +P (They insisted I would not fire +P at their range thru the P3AT), It sure sounded and felt like it! For sure, no problem thru the Walther.
Surprisingly, the Wolf Gold JHPs work well in both.

I carry a kel-tec p3at, with a mag of hollow points and one in the chamber. why? Because its small and I'm small. I have trouble concealing a firearm on my person, seeing as I'm pushing 5'3 and I'm under 110 lbs. I can easily conceal my kel-tec and I am confodent enough in it to have it with me at all times.

Yea, I'm not sure which I'm more excited about, GF actually gonna shoot, or the new toy.
Were you the one I pointed it out to in Gander? If so, I hope you can actually get the GF shooting it. I think she was willing to go shoot but doubt that she wants the first time she shoots it to be out at a group shoot

in 380, carry FMJ. Don't sacrifice penetration for expansion.

I'll buy that.

On a side note:
I've been a big .380 fan my whole adult life. But, as already stated,
with small 9mm's available, my .380's only get minimal use these days.
With a couple exceptions (bug, or deep concealment) I don't see much need for one.

MarcS,

I have not finished reading this interesting thread on the 380 but after reading your post I was thinking you must do belly laughs at the thought of carrying a Seecamp 32 let alone a 380. Any thoughts on the Rohrbaugh 9's ?
