Default Crimson Trace grips

I have a CZ P-01 with Crimson Trace laser grips. I'm not sure, but I think these grips hurt my hand when shooting the gun. I'll have to switch back to the regular grips to make sure though.

So my question is, how handy or useful do you find laser sights? When I'm target shooting, I usually have them turned off. It doesn't seem to help my accuracy, especially when I try shooting just using the laser and not the regular sights.

They've been barely used so I could probably get a good amount of my money back by selling them, but I don't know if I'll regret it later down the line.

I bought the CZ to use as a carry gun but I can't shoot the damn thing accurately. My shots are always a few inches low. It definitely has a heavier trigger pull than what I am used to with my other guns, so this is part of the reason I was thinking of selling them.

unless they are interferring with something on the pistol, grips have no bearing on trigger pull weight.

i have a set on an m9, they came with it.
as far as i'm concerned, they're worthless for just blasting paper.
around the house at night, they could make for decisive decision maker if confronted by someone.
mine do not bother my hands, so i'm leaving them be.
they seem to be some of the better laser grips made, i would keep them, atleast for now.

no, i didn't mean that the grips were causing the stronger trigger pull weight. i was commenting that the gun did and since i wasn't accurate with that gun, that i would sell the grips because i wasn't using the gun much.

I put the stock grips back on and fired 40 rounds tonight. there was not pain or discomfort so its definitely something about the laser grips that is causing it.

i also shot a lot better with the stock grips than i was doing with the laser grips.
on 1 target, i actually had 3/10 shots in the center circle of the target, 4/10 in the outer circles, and 2 outside the circle.
another target gave i landed 2/10 in the center circle. this is way better than i've shot with this gun before. usually its really low.

could i have passed the "break in" period? i'm not sure exactly how many rounds i've fired through it, probably at least 300.

You say your shots are really low , now I am aware that accussing a man of not knowing how to shoot is akin to kicking his dog , but , make sure you are using the pad of your finger tip on the trigger , if you stick your finger in too far and use the joint of your finger on the trigger your shots will go low , you can do this from a rest on the bench and get away with it but offhand it will show. The stocks may be changing where your trigger finger is

I think I understand what you mean. I had the Crimson Trace on my Ruger sp101.

The grips are such a hard plastic that they dont absorb recoil at all. Plus they were so smooth that when you worked up a sweat...something you'd probably do in a self defense encounter... they were too darn slippery! When something goes bump in the night its not likely you'd have time to put on a shooting glove :-(.

I shot OK with stock rubber grips but the CT Grips bothered me so much (especially with 357 loads) that I was anticipating the PAIN caused by the grips and shooting horribly! When I went back to the stock rubber grips things went back to normal.
I returned my CT grips.I didnt think $180 was well spent because my confidence was low using them.

I don't know what the exact cause was, but I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with this issue. I couldn't get through a 10 round mag without pain, but since I switched back to the stock grips there hasn't been a problem. I shot 40 rounds the other day with no problem.

$180? were they used? i couldn't find them anywhere (new) for under $240
