I have had to order a new recoils spring assembly, for some reason the spring is rubbing in 1 spot on the guide. Now I have put well over 1000 rounds through it and still like it. The rub point is very noticible when it is dissassembled, it is not a prblem now but would cause issues in the future if left unattended.

If yours was the 9mm variant, you likely had the aluminum guide rod set-up, the replacement is steel. IF so, I had the same issue. It didn't hamper function in my case, but I called and asked about it and they offered to send me the new steel one.

NineseveN,

I'm interested in something like this in .357 Sig, for carry. Love the SAO format.

Do you know how the grip compares to the Glock 32? I'm a carpenter, so I have strong hands, but not big hands. Most Glocks feel chunky and uncomfortable to me. The G36 is the only (near) exception.

One gun I found that is a fantastic fit is the Steyr. Amazing for a double stack. Funky traingular sights, but points like an extension of my hand and seems very well built. However everything I've read points to lack of support here in the U.S., so I'm hesitant.

The grip is definitely larger than the old Steyr with the tiny grip, not so much bigger than the newer Steyr M-1A. The flat backstrap for the FNP makes the grips a bit smaller, but I don't know that they're still making the SAO, I've heard they've stopped production on them. To me, it feels a little smaller than the standard Glock grip, but not by a whole lot to be honest.
