Default Sig 2022 opinions

I got an email from Bud's today showing these on sale for $439 shipped. This includes 2 12 round mags and night sights (Sig lite) Brand new in box. SO what is the deal? Im assuming Sig has got to be a decent gun right? I have a 220 and love it.

So lets hear it, what are the issues (pro and con) with this gun?

I dont have any experience with Sig's polymer guns.

Thanks

I had the 2022 predecessor the 2340 in .40. I think the only difference really is that the 2022 has a rail. I liked the 2340. It was accurate enough, just didn't really like the felt recoil of .40 in a plastic gun. The other con was the size. They are not carry pieces. Other than those 2 things (and if you're used to .40 then the first one isn't an issue) it's a pretty decent gun. I'm not sure if that's a good price or not. Check around. Cabelas may have one or check GunBroker.

that's a pretty good price.

i bought one for my wife, they are pretty good guns if you can get around it being a polymer Sig. the trigger is pretty good and they are roughly the same size as a 229, but lighter due to the frame

i'd say it's a pretty safe bet for an inexpensive pistol by a good manufacturer. i hang around on the Sig forums also and haven't really heard anything bad about them

accuracy is acceptable but in my opinion not as good as some of my other sigs.

it's not my fav pistol or my fav sig, but still a pretty good gun in its own right. mags are pretty cheap too, i got mine for $20/ea

I've had one for a number of years now, and it is an excellent pistol. It is somewhat large, but I can conceal it the way I dress. Of course, I mostly OC, so that is not an issue. I also carry a P220, so I have that by way of comparison, and I go back and forth between the two guns, depending on a few variables that are not worth mentioning here. It is reliable and accurate, and fits my huge hand very well.

The gun is great. I have fired both the 9mm and the 40 SW. My roommate owns the one in .40. Definately has a wide grip but feels fine in my hands. Very accurate pistol. It retails for $613. My roommate paid $468 at sportsmans. you are getting a great deal for a brand new one at that price. Here is the link, check it out.

I received the same email having purchased from Bud's before I think - I've been driving myself crazy - seems like a great price and I've heard nothing but good about Sig's !!! Would love to hear more info. too. Haven't been able to find a price even close anywhere else including used on Gunbroker or GunsAmerica !!!!!
