The Kel Tec PF-9 comes with one mag, additional are $22. The rear sight is drift adjustable, and I believe different heights are available dirt cheap, I seem to remember a set of 3 for around 10 dollars? Its not really fair to compare a gun that weighs two-thirds what the other weighs. I believe if the 709 is 0.8" wide they are not counting the lever.

I'll take the added 6 ounces for the extras that came with the Taurus, plus it fits my hand better and I enjoy the manual safety on the lower quality guns. I trust my Glock just fine without the manual safety. But then again, different strokes for different folks. Plus I still need to shoot it (hopefully Thursday) before I can put my final stamp on this gun!

Sure its great, and I too am interested in one, but for purposes of comparison, comparing a 19 oz. gun to a 12.7 oz. gun is like comparing a horse to a pony. A more meaningful comparison would be, for example, a Walther PPS or a Kahr CW9.

Both of which cost a few nickles!

It doesn't list +P in the manual anywhere - so I would say ... no. Maybe a call to Taurus would clear it up.

This is from the online Taurus catalog, p. 2 "all Taurus handguns are engineered to accept a steady diet of factory-new Plus-P (+P) ammunicition built to SAAMI specifications". The only exception seems to be the Magnesium revolvers.

I've had a 709 for about a month now and have about 1,000 rounds through the gun and it has been very good. I've shot WWB 115g and AE 124G and the AE shoots better and is more accurate. My son has a PF-9 and a CW-9 and I've shot both of those and they are nice guns. But to me the 709 shoot with less recoil and the trigger on the 709 is excellent. The trigger on the keltec and the kahr seemed long and hard to me, on the 709 it is crisp with less travel. The accuracy of the gun is good, it's way better than me anyway and I'm having a blast with this gun. I had on FTE within the first 50 rounds but since then it has performed excellent. The rear sight is easily adjustable as mine shot slightly low out of the box. After 1,000 rounds the gun is not showing any wear and is super easy to take apart and clean. The gun is very slim and can be consealed very easily. Check one out, you just might like it!

A Kahr with a Long, Hard Trigger Pull!

I had a CW9 and loved it... the trigger was so sweet... I guess its the nature of the "mechanical" beast!
