Its never a bad idea to take a heavily used gun, like yours, to a gunsmith and make sure everything is on the up and up.
Do it. Just make sure, if the gunsmith does find a problem or a potential problem, that he literally SHOWS you the problem before you let him fix it. |

Just replace the recoil springs and maybe the other springs if you want to be really thorough. Other than that there isn't much to go wrong that you can't see during a routine cleaning. Pistols have considerably fewer moving parts than cars, preventative maintenance on them just consists of lube and springs rather than alignments and brake jobs.

Normal cleanings, lube and maybe a closer inspection for wear should be all it needs. If it ain't broke, why fix it?
