Default awesome sig experience

I know this is not specifically about my pistol, but it is about an accessory that came with it.

Last year i bought a sig p229 that came with the stl 100c compact weapons light. I carried this light on my person every day religiously. A good light makes a great weapon against an attacker, they cant attack what they cant see.

Well recently the light began to make a high pitched buzz or hum when activated.I never heard this before, so i called itac defense(the company who makes all of sig's lights) and they instructed me to call sig directly.

I called sig and explained to Scott Rudolph in customer service my dilemma. He told me it was a bad capacitor and said i would have to ship it back to him (he emailed me a postage paid label) and he would replace it free of charge.

Upon looking at the inventory, however, he realized that the lights were on backorder and to hold off from sending the light for a couple weeks until i called and verified that they were once again in stock.

Well, it hasnt even been a couple weeks, and to my surprise a package was delivered with the mail today that contained my brand new light. WITH A LITHIUM BATTERY!

HE DIDNT EVEN WAIT FOR ME TO SEND BACK THE DEFECTIVE ONE! that to me is great one on one customer service!..i have had bad experiences on the phone with sig sauer before, but to Scott Rudolph i say bravo!

This is what we should be able to expect from a company that we give our business to!

Always nice to hear positive results! I've hear varied reports on Sig's customer service in recent months, but have always been served well when I needed them. I have that same light too, and it's a nice piece of equipment.

if you like the light, check out olight!..i just got one that is the same size as the sig light(olight model I15 infinitum) it is adjustable from 6 to 205 lumens, and has a strobe and s.o.s. feature, everything operational from a momentary or steady on tailcap switch, and all for $49.00! i ordered it from patriot workwear and love the light! for the value i believe its the best light on the market!
