I waited several weeks for a G35 from a Glock dealer. I finally went out and tracked one down myself.

I don't know about the G26 you have ordered, but currently Glock is running about 230,000 units behind in production. They used to put out 30,000 guns per month, now they are doubling that to 60,000 and are still way behind. I have LE model G30SF on order for over a month now and no idea from the dealer when it will arrive. This is from a stocking Glock dealer too. Hope you don't have to wait as long for your G26.

Ace is not a mom and pop store. It is a store that only does guns and has a huge selection. Incidently, the salesmen do not work on commission and so are sometimes ridiculously honest. Recently, we three times had salesmen tell us "don't buy this" (for various reasons).

There probably are a bunch more stores within 30 miles of Ace, but i had to drive an hour to get to Washington. Unfortunately for pistol purchases, i live smack up against West Virginia, which means that much of an one hour driving radius is outside of good ol' PA.

I did try several stores before ordering it. I actually found one in stock, but they wanted significantly more than Ace. As much as i want the gun right now, i'm also cheap.

I got a call Wednesday night that my gun was in, and i picked it up last night. That puts us at a week and a day or two from the time of order until they called me.

I stopped at my dad's house just before dark and shot up most of a box of ammo. That cardboard box is toast.

My Springfield XD 9 subcompact came in on wednesday, put about 100 rounds through it last night. It is awesome.

hey, firstkings18, less than 2 weeks, that's great. at 77 I'v developed a lot more patience than when I was a young whippersnaper. After almost 2 months, I called to cancel that order and was told it was on the truck and would be delirvered next week, and it was.
