The PPK has always been one that need a good break in period at least 300-500 rounds of ball ammo before you start showing off your gun to others.
Sometimes you have to find which ammo it would feed best and which magazine seem most reliable. The PPK is an accurate and feel good gun once you get it broke in. I know people that rave about the slink design and workings of the PPK. Bond's gun I'm sure you know that.

My wife's Interarms PPK has always been a finicky gun. It will often have trouble feeding cartridges with a longer OAL or a 'pointy-er' bullet. Runs very well with Fiocchi, which has an almost perfectly round bullet radius. Done fine Speer Gold Dots, too. Most cheap range ammo will give it fits.

The most common jam I get is the cartridge wedged between the feed lips and the roof of the barrel. Not very easy to clear.

The original .32 caliber models have a better reputation for reliability. The fixed barrel and the rather large 'jump' the round needs clear don't do the gun any favors, feeding wise.

You are absorbing too much of the recoil, thus the recoil energy of the ms, lock your arms and wrtists when you shoot it .

Dont use magsafe in you walther, magsafe use a thick brass that has a sharp edge that will jam in the throat ,

My Walther hates fmj but eats everything jhp, never a mafl in my Smith Walther.

Have another shooter shoots it and see the results.

TRy some quality ammo in it , stop shooting all that junky ammo in it. Its not a "range gun" I guarantte that gun will be perfect with Federal HS

have you used the .380 FMJ 'wolf performance ammo or +p'? what makes them so high value and special?

also, what do you consider cheap ammo? i strive to stay above $29.00 for .380acp?

I've never used Wolf of any sort in my Walthers. I usually use Winchester White Box or Remington UMC, although I've also used Fiocchi, S&B, and even Blazer Brass without problems.

    Ammo I won't use:
    Wolf
    Blazer
