Default .45 ACP. I need some suggestions

Ok, I'm a well documented Glock man... My Glock 22 and I have spent the last 12 years to gether and like a good woman, I'll never let here go . However, I'm looking to get back into the 45 ACP game after having given up my Para-Ordanance P-14 (the perfect range gun) some years ago. I'm looking at getting a single stack. I was looking at either Rock Island or Springfield Armory. Does anyone have any suggestions? Again, I'm looking for a range gun. But I want a quality gun.

Thanks

PT, try Colt. A bit more in cost but you cannot buy better when it comes to 1911's. Colt has a great selection of pistols to choose from and what would go better with your Glock but a Colt!

The Glock 21 is a big cannon... By the time i get to shooting my .45 at the range I want something on the lighter side. That's why I'm going with a single stack instead of the P-14 again witch by the way I loved...

why limit yourself to an auto?
45acp in a wheel gun is a blast.

S&W model 625 early model had some problems. I think it had a bad hand. Go to S&W forums and do a search. You will find all info.

I had one. I sold it. It was a dead on balls accurate revolver. I had some problems with it and got frustrated and sold it. I disclosed the problems and a guy bought it for a project gun. I sold it for approx 225 bucks plus shipping.

i bought it used and I think a gun plumber went to town on it. The only thing that gets old are the moon clips. These revolvers shoot 45 auto and 45 auto rim.

I think you should buy a colt 1911 and dont look back. If you have real dollars to spend get a wilson/bear/RRA/ ect. if you are on a budget get a colt best bang for your buck. Next inline is a SA loaded. Colts have better internals then SA. Especially the extractors.
