Default ANY CZ FANS?

Went to a local shop the other day and fondled a CZ75 compact. Felt great in the hand and the price was right. I've read what the CZ-USA site has to say and looked up different threads here and on other sites. Some love it and others not so much. The ranges I frequent don't have any rentals so trying before buying isn't in the picture. Any input I could get from owners would be greatly appreciated. I'm Looking for an 'all around gun' in 9mm.

I have a CZ75 Compact. It's my favorite by a long shot. It's eats any ammo, and it's way more accurate than the guy holding it. If ever I had to get rid of all my pistols but one (never happen) the CZ is the one I'd keep. Go for it!!

While not a 9mm in your context†, I bought a CZ 82 from AIM last year. I'm sorry I waited, as it's a great handgun with one of the best triggers I've felt on an unmodified pistol.

† The CZ 82 is 9.2mmx18, also called 9mm Makarov. It is not interchangeable with 380 ACP nor 9mm Parabellum/9mm "Luger".

I'm getting one once my C&R renewal gets here. Good point on the caliber.

Is it of any use to pay the $10.00 for "hand pick" to AIM?

I didn't pay handpick, as I'm collecting Cold War relics now while they're still around and I don't want one that's too "perfect". These are photos of my CZ-82. It came from AIM (web page). Each will enlarge if you click on it. The only improvement might be the lack of that tiny chip in the front of the slide. Note 1: it will appear to be a smoothbore since it has polygonal rifling. Note 2: these pistols are powder coated, not blued. The powder coating will be chipped where the pistol received the mandatory import markings. Note 3:this is still a blowback pistol, similar to the Makarov, PPK and others. The recoil sensation is more noticeable.

Range performance was a very pleasant surprise, to say the least. I paid $220, I strongly suspect these will rise dramatically in value after the last batch runs out like the German Maks. I'm thinking about 2 - 3 more.

I just picked up a CZ P-01 on Thursday evening. I've heard nothing but good things about CZ guns.
