Default Walther PPK/S best ammo

I just bought a Walther PPK/S to carry...I was curious what is the best ammo you guys have found...I was shooting a few flat front target loads and had a lot of loading problems...

Congrats on the new Walther. I've only fired about 100 flat nosed Winchester rounds but had no problems. I have a PPK and usually use Remington UMC JHP or FMJ ammo with no trouble at all in well over 1,000 rounds. I've read that PPK's like the rounded nose of the Remington JHP rounds.
For a defensive round I use the Remington Golden Sabers. It likes the Cor-Bon ammo too.
I love my PPK, so easy to conceal and to shoot and stay on target.... hopefully yours will settle in and be happy.
Good luck!

A friend had to polish up the ramp on his SW PPK/S to get it to feed reliably, but my German made PPK/S pretty much feeds anything. For Defensive ammo I like the Corbon and occasionally I use the Mag Safe or my old Super Vel ammo.

I always use FMJ in my PPK or any 380. It's not a rhino roller round to start with and I feel I'm better off getting the extra penetration and reliability.

I would try Speer Gold dot , Federal Hydra-shok or Remington Golden Saber. Actually I'd try all three, see what works well. I would also keep an eye out to see if Federal starts offering their Tactical HST or Tactical Bonded in .380 ACP. Ditto for Hornady TAP. Both are "next generation" defense rounds, which are truly a huge improvement over first generation hollowpoints, but they are so far only offered in "service" calibers ie 9mm, .45, and .40SW.
