Default Re: Grip Extension on a Glock 26? Yes/No?

I have tried the subcompact Glocks with mag extensions and pinky rests.

While they may work for some people, I hate them. In fact, I run my G30 with the optional 9 round flush fit mags instead of the factory 10 rounders.

To me the compact G30/G29 and the sub compacts are small for a reason. If I wanted a full frame, I would like 15+1 rounds from a G19 thanks.

Just my $.02

I just got a new Glock 30 with accessory rail and 10 round mags. I too didnt care for the stock pinky grip. I bought a 9 round mag for better concealment and like you, like the grip better than with the stock extension. I did happen to get the Scherer pinky grip extension for my 10 round mags, and really like the feel of them. The stock grip extensions actually dug into my pinky with its lip. I believe the Scherer extensions are wider than Pearce but I could be wrong.

http://www.topgunsupply.com/cart.php Try this extender works with the 19 Mags. Nice way to have 15 rounds for the 26.

I have never ever said this before.... but wait there is a gun?? lol Yes grip extension, control is paramount, Now move the damn thing lol!! Oh yeah I love a lovely lady with ink!! Congrats they both look superb!! On a side note I carry my Glock 30 everywhere that I am legally able to, I carry the stock 10 round mags, and actually enjoy the stock exstension. I can shoot my Glock all day, all next week and half of next month without any pinches!!

I am a 1911 / 45 acp man so please point me in the right direction. Do you think I would be better with the 45 acp version of the g26( I dont know the number). thanks
I would go with a 147 grain Federal Hydra Shoks. I have seen first hand what they can do to ballistics gel, lets just say it was ugly. In this case ugly is good, ugly equals good lethality. A Glock should be fine to pocket carry, however I would still advise on a pocket holster, if for no other reason to reduce finish wear. The G26 equivalant is the G30 wich I own and carry every single day, it is my baby and you can't go wrong. It's shoots uber accurate and has some kick but not near as much as one would expect.

NO!!!
Never carry a handgun without the trigger guard covered by a holster!!!

People get themselves shot doing what you asked. I know police office whose fellow officer got a new hole in his thigh doing just that.
