Glocks require a holster that covers the trigger for safe carry. Really, any gun you pocket carry you should use a pocket holster to keep the gun in an upright position for (relatively) quick access. Also, never carry anything else in the same pocket. Seriously, a loaded Glock 26 might weight down your pants a bit. They come in at a hair under 20oz unloaded and carry 10+1. You're looking at around a pound and a half. Go to a gun shop and fondle one before you make your decision. A well designe pocket holster might get away with making it look like a fat wallet. They're small, but they're not all that tiny. To give you a size reference, I'm pretty sure Justin's girlfriend is packing a pair of D's, if not DD's. Glock does not make a .45ACP on the 26 frame. The glock 30 is close to the size of the glock 19 and wider. The Glock 36 i don't recommend as it is single stack, giving you a mere 6+1 and no magazine compatibility with larger glock .45's...and it's still pretty chunky. Anyway, no real reason for a .45 over a 9mm anyway with modern ammunition choices. Anyway, we all carry G26's in a galco ankle glove and the 19's in an approved strong side holster. Standardized ammo is the 147gr Winchester Ranger. Last edited by MarcS; March 4th, 2007 at 08:47 PM. |

I pocket carry a Colt officers ACP. I don't put it in a holster. I carry it with hammer down because of no holster. In my other pocket I carry 2 spare mags so I carry 21 45 acp.
How chunky are those mags. If I carry one in the gun and a spare I will be at 21 rounds as well. Will the glock take a plus p to make the 9mm more effective? Do you know a size ratio to the Colt Officers acp? How does it feed HP's? Any other info would help. Thanks |

Yes the Glock will take and feed any kind of ammo. If I carried my 26 in the pocket, and 2 reloads I'd have 31 rounds. I don't know the size ratio because I only own Glocks (at this time), and I'm not interested in carrying anything else.

The glock can handle +P with ease, but there's no need for it with modern ammo. I carry standard pressure 147gr Winchester Ranger's in 9mm and they perform just as well or better than the +P offerings with less felt recoil. |

Not to hijack...
But I happen to have a used Glock G26 for sale with night sights. Pm if interested.

That's certainly not a hijack, i suggest you take him up on it if his price is reasonable. Nothing wrong with a used glock.

I have the grip extension on 4 mags for 2 G27's and have never had a problem with any of them. The pistols defiantly feel better in my hand when I can get my pinky around the grip.

I've tested accuracy and rapid fire controllability with and without the pinky rest on the 26. I found no difference.
