Default Re: Trading my taurus for a glock?

Thank you for all of the feedback. I went and traded for the glock 26 with night sights that they had. They only gave me 175 for my Taurus which is sort of sad but at least I have something I can actually carry now. I will use my husband's holster for now (for his 27) until the one we're going to order for me comes which is this one here

When I traded my Taurus PT145 at a gun show a few months back, they only gave me $200 credit towards what they were selling, a Ruger Mk1. I considered myself lucky to get that as Taurus have terrible resale value.

I am going to the gun shop in a bit to look around and decide I guess. It has just been a severe PITA to find accessories/a decent holster for it that will accommodate me. My husband has a glock 27 which would suit me just fine and I've "tried it on" with his holster and that would be ok. It is killing me to think of parting with Grace but I just don't think we were meant for each other.

I bought a G19 and carry it daily. Not because I didn't trust the 24/7, but more because I'm left handed and don't want to deal with righthanded safties anymore on a carry gun. I like the G19 but still like my 24/7 better.
I'm picking up a 24/7 next payday, so you got my attention. I thought the rail on the front was a standard 1913 spec. Why wouldn't any lazer made to mount to a weaver or picatinny rail work? Or is it the switch in the grip they won't accommodate? I'm not big on loading down my firearms with gadgets, but I'm not a big fan of limiting myself either. Currently, the only accessory I could see myself using might be a light for a HD gun or night sights for a carry weapon.

My husband has already ordered me extra mags for a glock 17 since they hold extra rounds. He said I will be able to have a total of 46 rounds on me and still be completely cocealed if I wish. I guess if SHTF I'll be prepared....

My fault, Ham. I didn't really think that one out too well. I meant the Guide Rod type. You are correct in that the rail is standard 1913.
I also can't find Nite sites for it. Holsters are getting easier to find now, but I was having a lot of trouble finding one.
