Assuming your mag has the rampant pony stamp on the bottom of the floorplate, the letters C-S on the toe of the floorplate stand for Colt's subcontract to Scovill Mfg. Co, for magazines. World War I two-tone mags used from 1924 until mid-1943.

The whole Clip/Mag running joke is funny. Injecting it into the thread is kind of what makes it a running joke. For a new member, asking a question and using the wrong term, he really got plowed. Hours after he apologized and explained he was unaware, still plowin! Luckily someone answered his question early on.
