I'm sending my Para 1911 off for refinishing and a trigger job, and I'm considering adding one of those Caspian flat triggers. What does anyone who has used them think? How do they feel? Any difficulty going back and forth between a flat trigger and a traditional 1911 trigger?
Here's an example: http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/w...14&isFirearm=Y

Got to try one for a day on a freind's 1911. I personally didnt care for it, but there was nothing wrong with it. It did feel a helluva lot faster than other 1911s Ive shot, as far as follow-ups. However, I kinda got the feeling it would take some getting used to off the draw.
Although, I think they look terribly trick on the right gun, visually speaking.

I run a flat medium length trigger. Not the Caspian, but the SVI trigger with inserts. This allowed me to try different inserts without fitting different triggers. While some claim the curved triggers feel lighter, I find that I get a more consistent feel with a bad grip with the flat trigger and I tend to be more accurate in all conditions.
My recommendation....if you get a trigger, use the SVI...and then find what works for you. Lycanallabouttheoutputhrope

I personally do not like the feel of the flat trigger I like a little curve in mine. Like Common said try and find a buddy with one and shoot his before you change what already works for you now. Just my HO.

Although I don't really shoot it much anymore, I like the flat trigger on mine.

I never noticed that my trigger finger was pressing the trigger in a different spot on a curved trigger.
Because my fingers are so damn long, I go in further than the 1st pad of my finger on a 1911 trigger. Because of that, the flat trigger never felt right to me. Forcing myself to use the pad of my fingertip...I could see why people like them. Whatever though, at least you have a choice! If I could put either in my Glock, I'd be as happy as a pig in shit.

There are short, nedium and long flat triggers. Which one matters a lot. The long flat trigger is longest of all......
