I also never had a problem with the grip safety. Unless you don't have a grip on the gun ( i don't know how you can even shoot if that happens. ) If you take the gun apart to see how the lever works. If that lever breaks the gun will fire even if the safety isn't depress. The lever is a stopper so if the stopper stop working nothing will stop the tigger.
