1911, shouldn't be to hard to find a nice one in 4" or less range.

Kinda made a decision. I'm going to keep the G27 and go for a 1911. haha. Comparing guns to gas money (once its gone its gone) got me thinking. Narrowed options down slightly to Springfield Champion (4") SS, or a Loaded (5") either parked or SS. The parked model comes with night sights whereas the SS model has 3-dot. I don't mind 3-dot and could always upgrade down the line if wanted. I'm trying to not spend too much. In case anyone wonders, I've decided on Springfield for their reliability, great customer service, and lifetime warranty. Thoughts, opinions, other suggestions?

I don't want to stand in the way of you buying another 1911, because we can never have too many 1911's, but didn't you say you already have a 5" 1911? I thought that you were searching for a smaller, more concealable pistol with a grip safety.

You may want to look at some of the Para Ordnance LDA models. 1911 style frame with a Light Double Action trigger (similar to striker-fired guns). I had the opportunity to shoot a Carry 9 and it is a tight little gun!

Para makes a fine weapon. I have owned three. I kept making the same mistake. I would get tired of the large grip, sell it, forget about the problems with the large grip and buy another one.

I think I am cured now. If you have extremely large hands and don't mind all that ammo in the mag pulling your pants down constantly, para is the gun for you.

Since I got rid of my paras, I have no need of suspenders to keep my pants up.

My problem may have been a piss poor choice of holsters. Other than the grips, I never had a lick of problems with them.

The Carry 9 is a single-stack with a grip much thinner than even a standard 1911. I know what you mean about the hi-caps though. I shoot two different Para Hi-caps in competition and they hold ALOT of rounds.

You're correct, I kinda was. If Im keeping the G27, might as well use that for concealed. I'll have to do some reading about the Para.

I love it. That kind of logic only makes sense to a fellow gun nut!

On Para's, for USPSA Limited class, I shoot a S16.40 LTD (review here: http://www.pafoa.org/forum/pistols-4...16-40-ltd.html). For Production class, I shoot a P16.40 LDA (one on GB: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...?Item=99721494).

Check out my review of the LTD. I have put ALOT of rounds through that gun in the past year. It is still the tightest gun I own. I think that the Para Ordnance Limited class of pistols is a great bargain.

Now we're talking! NEVER sell a gun if it is functioning properly!

If you spend $100.00 a week on groceries do you sell them? Heck no... You EAT them!

If you buy $100.00 worth of gas do you sell it? Heck no!

Let me repeat... NEVER sell a gun if it is functioning properly!

Now, see how easy that was? Now lets look at some new pistols...
