Bi-tone 1911 - what color parts?

Hi guys. I'm going to get my Para 1911 refinished bi tone (black frame, silver slide). What color should I get the barrel bushing, slide stop, thumb safety, grip safety, hammer, and trigger?

I'm thinking silver parts would stand out nice against a black frame, but black parts might make a really nice sleek look. What do you think?

Anyone have any pics of bitone 1911s done both ways?

I would help you out, but I don't have a digital camera. I also don't have a scanner. I don't know how to attach pics either. I sound pretty helpless.

I remember when bi-tone, black top and stainless or chrome bottom, was the shit. Supposedly that look is passe but I still like it. I have two Springer mil-specs that are bi-tone. Everything is black except the frame itself. I did that by using muractic acid on the frame, resulting in a color almost like stainless. The mag catch, safety, slide lock, pins etc are still black. I really like the look.

I have a stainless Kimber with Pachmayrs, blued mainspring housing and a black nylon preseries II trigger. I blued the polished sides of the hammer too. Sooner or later I want to replace the slide stop, safety and pins with blued, probly a blued barrel bushing as well.

I don't like stainless, or chromed, controls on a black frame as much as I like the reverse, but thats just me. If you go to Kimbers web site and look at their wallpapers, you can see some variations on the bi-tone theme. They have some black frame, stainless slide and parts guns on there.

If I was getting a black frame, stainless (or chrome) slide, I'd probably have a polished trigger, polished hammer, blued bushing, but stick with a blued slide lock, blued safety and blued mag catch. But that's just me.
