Default Walther PPK broken spring

My son purchased a brand new Walther PPK. After about 25 rounds the firing pin spring broke. Has anyone ever experienced this on a brand new gun? He will take it back to the dealer tomorrow. This was a disappointment after wanting to spend the day at the range.

Never heard of that happening.. but crap does happen from time to time. I'm sure Walther(S&W import) will take care of your son's gun.

Even a Rolls-Royce stands a chance of being a lemon.

I regularly see a lot of $50,000 BMW's and Cadillacs broke down at the side of the Road sometimes, Any Machine can break down even new ones.

if its a new Walther its made by Smith but i doubt if Smith Makes thier own Springs, i have a Similar Problem with my Brand new Walther PPK, the grip Panel cracked , i emailed Smith and in a week they sent me a brand new pair by express mail , they will take care of your son's Gun.

I have a S&W PPK that the Trigger pin backs out on, Apparently from what I hear the original Walthers had a groove in the pin that mated to the Trigger Pin, I guess S&W figured the extra cost wasn't worth it. So Basically it's just a paperweight sitting in my safe, Unless I can find a source for an original Walther spring. I haven't had the time to look, But I'm not impressed with S&W Walthers.
