Default Stoeger 8040 Cougar

Bought myself a Stoeger Cougar (actually a Beretta now made in Turkey) for Christmas in .40 S&W. Have put 900 rounds through it in the past month without a SINGLE malfunction. Great accuracy, easy to clean, nice grip size. This gun was being sold under the Beretta name for $700 3 years ago. If you get a chance read the write up in Guns and Ammo and Handgun magazine. I paid $340 new for it.

I shot one last week in 9mm. Seemed like a nice pistol for the price point.

Hey Hoot,,,, I have one of the original Beretta's I bought it when they first came out! The Cougar is a fine handgun and I'm sure you will really enjoy it!
Good luck with it and I hope it serves you well!

I just transfered one for a guy the other day. He got it in .40 from CDNN for $299 + S&H.

Rey, Why not buy the Cougar in .40 S&W? It packs a lot more punch than the 9mm. Capacity is 10 + 1. Hornady makes .40 with more power than .45 ACP.

Hoot.

The reason I am buying the Cougar in 9mm is because i already have five 40's.
