Fobus standard paddle for ubiquitous Sigma serieses - GL4 or HK1
While this thread is intended to be more encompassing, let's visit a single example:
Subject: Smith and Wesson 'Sigma'; Model - SW9VE; Product Code - 220025
Black (really dark blue?) frame, stainless steel matte slide, 16 rd mags, 4" barrel
Smith and Wesson just calls their line the Sigma line. Fobus however makes a curious distinction:
Enhanced Sigma Series VE/ E/ G only
Sigma Series V only
Fobus then recommends the HK1[xxxx] models for the "Enhanced Sigma" and the GL4[xxxx] models for the "Sigma".
Tried a standard paddle, model GL4, with the SW9VE/220025 -- retention was not very strong at all, slide protruded past the end of the holster (forgive me if either of these are not signs of a bad holster fit. My fobus comparison model is the HP2 with a Hi-Point C-9 Compact, which is flush with the edge of the holster and has what feels like strong retention.)
Is there any comment from the community on the SW9VE/220025 on either the GL4 or the HK1 on flushness and retention feel?
