Default Berreta Bobcat in .22 cal?

Hi everyone,

I possibly will be buying a Berreta .22 Bobcat soon , but of course i would like to hear your opinion on this before i buy.

It will be just something to drop in my shirt pocket etc. Not a main carry weapon. I have a Tomcat but its too beautiful to carry , its the special edition one with the Gold trim, also too heavy for the mission.

I dont like the small Keltecs, they dont feel good in my hand.

What is your opinion of the Bobcat?

Thanks, nyman

The Beretta is a good gun, carried one of the old .22 shorts. THEY recommend the .25 acp., being rimless less chance of a FTF. For what it is worth there never was a FTF in the shooting that I did.

Why not NAA mini mag.?Smallest gun I could find and more powerful than LR.I carry it all the time even when I carry a real gun.You can get a 22lr and 22 mag in one gun.If you need a bigger grip you can get one which doesn't add much size.

There never was a problem with the lack of a triggerguard, my problem was manual manipulation of the small grip and hammer. If you are younger and do not have thumb problems te little gun is a blast. Really the .22 Mag has a nighttime muzzle flash that must be seen to beleive.

My mom's got one as the "nightstand gun" It's a slick little peice. The flip up barell is cool and functional. It fits the hand well, but has a small magazine capacity. Sights suck, bit it has never had a misfire or jam.

Not my cup of tea, but it's a well made little gun.

IMO I'd much rather have a .22lr Bobcat than a .25acp in anything. The .25 is nostalgic but it's only a slight bit better than throwing rocks. I have a Taurus DAO the same size and configuration as the Bobcat in .22lr and I am comfortable with that round. Howsoever, only as a back-up or when I'm running slick and don't want my usual carry handgun to print or show. Like at the beach in swim trunks...I never get in the water.

No Doubt 22.lr is superior to .25 acp, a hot .22lr should be fine. I would say about 80% of the Bobcat is the grip area alone , fits the hand really well , Berretas design genius really shine in this gun.

The NAA mini revolvers are really works of Art right down to the beautiful wooden grips, but i think the Beretta would presents faster in a hurry , i know the hammer would snag on something unlike the Berreta that has no sharp edges at all. , even the muzzle is beveled so it doesnt bore a hole in your pocket.

But the NAA in .22 mag sound likes a blast and lots of fun, so i might still get one, i picked up the Berreta today, beautiful little gin in the
inox model.

I will be buying a .32 Bobcat, the Tomcat's big brother, for my fiance in a few days. All the reviews I have seem have been positive for both guns.
