Default Replica Air Pistols

I found some replica Glocks online for 20-230. I was curious if anyone had used them before for practice. I don't get to the range nearly enough, namely due to money problems. I'll eventually get the AA 22 kit, but thats 300. From what I've read, it seems KWA makes the best for the price at 120.

I used to shoot my airgun in my basement and really enjoyed it. I really miss doing that, and figure this gun will be a dedicated basement gun. If I pick one up, it'll be around fall or winter.

I'm really curious about how authentic the trigger feels as well as the blowback. The internals seem to be freakishly the same. If anyone has any experience with them, I'd love to hear

I've shot some green gas guns that were awesome...they also cost $200.

I know it's boring.....but dry fire really does rock.

I dry fire a bit, its not boring for me . I just wanna know where my shots land. That last match, I was SURE I would hit the target as i pulled the trigger...but it was a miss. I think I'm making the gun move as it drops into the 2nd stage, and I haven't been able to fix it with dry fire. Watching the front sight, I watch it dip. I did some trigger work to make the 2nd stage smoother, but its still not great.

I'm not totally convinced that I'm doing everything correct. I guess the air pistol would just give me more confidence if I'm doing it right and see that my shots land where I really think they're going.

Well damn. I just looked it up again. I thought it just reduced the pull as a whole. I didn't know it reduced only the 2nd stage. I think I might do the 3.5/NY1 combo.

Just try the 3.5 on its own first.

I think I'll pick up the 3.5 connector and the NY1. NY1 is only 2 bucks, and it seems to be a loved combo. I'll try with and without the NY1 and see what works best.

Still probably gonna get the airsoft pistol, but if the trigger problem gets fixed by the 3.5 connector it'll prob only be the 30 dollar one. Fun basement gun, full auto. I dunno if the 120 is full auto capable or not.

If you want a Glock 17 or 26, the Marui models are better than KWA/KWC/whatevercheapchinesejunk. Maruis is better at designing the device that puts the backspin on the BB, and you get better long range (relatively speaking, about 25 yards max) accuracy. Maruis seem to run just fine on propane (a.k.a. green gas), so you don't have to buy expensive airsoft 134A gas. Unfortunately the Marui G17s don't fit in many G17 holsters, although you can use G20/G21 holsters.

KWA pistols have no trigger safety, just an empty slot. Glock, Inc. complained to Customs about patent infringement. You can still get Marui, KWC, and HFC Glocks with trigger safeties though.

I tried a 3.5 connector and the NY-1 spring, and I didn't like it. Even with the coil spring removed, I was still measuring a 6lb. pull, and there was more creep. Although I have a trigger kit with a 3.5 in a competition only G17, my carry guns have 5.5s and a mirror polish treatment.
