Default Re: Glock 17 - Should I or Should I not? Question for Glockers...

My cousin has an old police trade-in g-17.

This thing is old school. No finger groves, no light rail.

He got it as a beater gun to prove that glocks aren't all that. Well...... we tried to make it malfunction. we tried, and tried. I don't think he ever cleaned the thing and it just won't stop running.

We'll shoot it all weekend at camp, he'll put it in a drawer without cleaning, then next time we go up we shoot it all weekend and put it away.

The damn thing just won't quit.

Yeah, me too. I bought my G17 just so I could talk shit on Glocks and be able to say "hey, I own one". I can't help it, though. I just love the gun!

I am not gonna come here and tell you that they are the best thing since sliced bread............but in my experience, reliability is still at 100%

Friend of mine have G21(I think. Its standard 45ACP model), and says that his had probrem with CCI aluminum cased ammo.
I guess it FTE'ed with CCI ammo.
But other then that, no hickup.

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get it. Like someone said, its too good of price not to get it...

Regardless of if I like Glock or not

The G17 is a decent gun.
It's a good range gun & it can be carried or kept at home for self defense. Holster selection is up there with 1911.
With stiffer recoil spring & steel guide rod it can fire hot loaded ammo.
For 107.00$ you can get Lonewolf barrel delivered to your door.
Threaded barrels available if you want to get a supressor. (legally of course)
With normal spring it can fire cheaper ammo for pratice or plinking.
18 round capicity...I think.
East to get night sights or adjustable sights for.
Moderate price.

I have 2 Glocks & would buy another.
