no, they do not. but they don't need them. and not having them means the gun will eat absolutely any ammo you put in it.

i understand there is the whole debate about whether or not the lack of a fully supported chamber has caused any of the .40s&w or .45 GAP glock KBs (it has not, imho) but i've never even heard of any case of a 9mm glock KBing...regardless of the cause. (doesn't mean it hasn't happened, but, if it has, it is exceeeeeeeeeeeeedingly rare.)

Glocks have all the reliability of a revolver with three times the bullet capacity.

I have a first gen Glock 17. I like the grip much better than the later (squared up) models. Best fitting and shooting gun I've ever owned. Never malfunctioned once in 20 years. Bought a 26 for CCW, and it's shoots very similar to my 17.

yes they can.
The 9mm Glock barrels leave only a tiny sliver of brass unsupported. It's nothing like the .40SW or .45ACP barrels.

Glocks nines were made to run 9mm NATO ammo, a 124gr. bullet at 1100fps, and a handful of GlockTalkers have shot cases of Hirtenberger ammo, which is even hotter and gets marked SMG-Only.

I have shot all sorts of ammo out of my 30, including corbon +p+ without a single problem. 7 years without a failure and going strong.

If there was 1 gun I would trust to fight with anywhere in the world, under just about any condition, it would be a Glock 17 or 19.

They are some of the most forgiving when it comes to maintenance. They are plenty accurate for 97% of the shooters out there. They are the easiest gun to swap parts on. They have cheap mags, parts available EVERYWHERE, holsters out the wazoo....

Low bore axis, simple controls, soft kicking, lightweight, sights are easy to change, a finish which holds up like a tank...what's not to love? The trigger?

I shoot my Glock just as tight as I shoot tuned up 1911's....
Once I learn how to shoot sub 4" groups at 25 yards, consistently...then I'll drop the money on an accurized 1911. Until then, the Glock remains my top choice for a fighting gun.

Drink the Kool Aid...it goes down smooooooth.
