Default Just bought the kel-tec pf-9

Everybody I heard from liked the kel-tec pf-9 so I just bought one today at trop gun shop in elizabethtown, I can't wait to shoot it. It cost $299.00 new. I got 147 grain hollow points to start with. The article in combat hanguns said the heavier bullet gives better control.

I heard different things. My thought was heavier=better, however I read from a very respected defensive handgun instrustor who's name I can't think how to spell right now, that the 147 grains are underpowered for a defensive round and can cause guns to jam. I have shot them through my p-11 just fine with good accuracy. I now carry 135 grain hydar-shocks because.......well that's what the store had at the time, and they shoot very well. I have juststuck with them. 10 diferent people will give you 10 different oppinions on bullet weight and design. An everyone on the internet is an expert.(sarcasm)

The pf-9 really impressed me. I really wish they were out when I bought my p-11 as I would have probably gone for the single stack.

Good buy. Let us know how she shoots.

subscribed, awaiting your review. Having carried a glock 26 in the past, I've been looking at these as a more viable and light weight carry piece. I'm definitely considering one.

Keep us posted.

I have been thinking about buying one. I also have a 26 and it seems a bit wide at times.

I've no personal experience, but have seen numerous posts touting bullets in the 124gr range for p-11s and pf-9s. Be sure to post your findings!

I just got one as well (well, like 3 weeks ago). Mine was $279+tax, I carried it once so far in the front pocket without even noticing it at all.
