I personally think the most useful think about their serialized frame which can change caliber is for all the residents in states with bullshit gun laws that make you jump through 15 hoops to get another pistol.

Only having to do 1 set of paperwork in states like NJ, Kali, NY, etc could make it worth the cost for some folks.
