Default Smith and Wesson 27-2

I just thought I'de share with you nice folks.
I just picked up 2 Smith 27s, One a dash 2 pictured here, The other a dash 3,
The dash 3 is blued and just a nice gun, But this dash 2 from 1972 is a real gem to me, I got them home last night, And gave this one a good cleaning, It was unfired, Just handeled and fingerprinted up at the shop where I rescued it from, I had been looking at it for the past month, I asked for a good price if I bought both of the 27s,
They gave me a price I couldnt refuse!!!!!

Now my only issues are, I dont have time to go give it a spin for a week or two, And that is bugging me, And secondly, I think something has to go with the addition of two beautiful Smiths!!!!!!!
Great group here,
Keep it up!
Peter.

Nice, a real gun! I mean a wheel gun! That's a stunning example of one of S&W 's finest, enjoy both of them.

pred,

I'd be happy to shoot them for you since you won't be able to for a week or two.

Very nice looking revolver. The grips are what make it a looker. imho.

Pred,
I am purchasing a 27-2, in nickel finish, this week that has only been fired three times. Can you tell me what is safe to clean and polish the finish with? Yours is beautiful.

Do not use anything with ammonia in it like Hoppes #9. Ammonia will eventually tarnish the nickel.

I use CLP to clean all of my Nickel guns.

Quite a handsome chunk of fine machinery.

You do realize it's State law that you have to shoot new guns inside the week don't you?
