I'd like to see data instead of anecdotes. The SERPA is so popular, there's bound to be more accidents because there's many more users. I like mine, and I'm going to keep using them until I find something I like better.
There are DOZENS of documented self inflicted gunshot wounds attributed to the use of this holster. One of the Top Shot season 1 finalists is among the group or more well known victims.

In a class of 15 students I was at, the students there personally knew of 7 people who had shot themselves with this holster. By the end of that same class, that number was up to 8... an LEO at the class had someone else back home at his department shoot himself while using a SERPA that same weekend.

LE doesn't like publishing when officers shoot themselves, but it's happened plenty. The FLETC letter acknowledges two that occurred on their property, even.

Those who still elect to use this holster are fooling themselves into thinking "it can't happen to me". They say a picture is worth a thousand words... so I think this sums it up:

Haha I just realized SERPAs and Glocks go together like peas and carrots...

If you really want to find out what its like to get shot go buy a Serpa and draw a Glock out of it...between the reputation of the 2 you should have a pretty high percent chance of catching one in the leg.

Yeah, let's just give it a cute name like "SERPA leg," and then it will be OK.

Dozens? Dozens is a big number. I'd be more concerned if I could actually find dozens of reports online. It's not that I don't believe you, but I'd like to see for myself.

If they're as dangerous as your post suggests, then there should be lots of members here who know of a SERPA AD in their area. Anyone here have concrete examples?

Those are just the ones that made it onto the internet, and that I found on the first few pages of a google search.

As I've said before, I've watched fingers fly into trigger guards on SERPA users while I was an RO. ND's didn't happen, but they were only a few pounds away from happening on more than one occasion.

This isn't a made up issue...

I never suggested it was a made-up issue, just wanted to see for myself. Thanks.
