minor upgrade for my cz compact

I love my compact but was a little put off with the plastic guide rod that came from the factory. Somehow, I thought it should have been steel. I contacted cz and got a steel guide rod and while I was at it ordered a 15 pound mainspring which came in the mail this morning.
The guide rod was a real tight fit onto the recoil spring and you could hear it scraping when the slide was racked. I took it apart and put some 100 grit sandpaper to the rod, removing just enough of the finish to allow free movement.
The main spring was pretty simple to change out and I toyed with the idea of leaving the mag break off but in the end, reinstalled it. The difference in the trigger pull isn't hugh but is definately noticable. Next on the list will be a set of thin half checkered cocobolo grips.
