It might be a Euro version with the mag catch at the rear bottom of the butt. Kinda hard to tell from the picture.

These are German police trade ins. Expect alot of hoster wear but good condition mechanically. Also, the majority of these guns dont like hollowpoints, due to the design of the feed ramp. Early 225's (1979 thru late 80's) had a different feed ramp than the latter designs. Some have had no problem with hollowpoints, others have.
Lastly, every one of these that I have examined had an extremely heavy Double Action trigger pull. Mine was over 12lbs. The single action pull is much better at around 5.5lbs. If you want a good deal on an Excellent condition P6, check our Dan's Ammo right here in PA. www.dansammo.com |

sig, thanks for the info!
I did have some feed problems with my p6, thats one of the reasons I got rid of it. I have been looking at Sig's again recently, and am glad to know why I had that issue. actually, looking at the P229 in 40S&W. |

thats a good price, i have 2 of them one will not shoot hollow points at all while the other shoots them with not a bump. i love these pistols and i may just order another thanks for the heads up, sig and dave.

If its due to the feed ramp, is there a barrel you could replace it with that isnt too much $$$$ ?

A new barrel would run $150-$200, so when you factor in all the costs, not really worth it.
Here's a thread on sigforum about the difference between the early and late barrel. Complete with pictures. http://sigforum.com/eve/forums/a/tpc...201#4241053201 |
