The kel-teks are probably your best bet. Alot of guys have them and they shoot quite well. Yes they aren't terribly expensive, but that dosn't mean they suck. I have the p-11 and they just came out with the pf-9 which is the thinnest 9mm I have ever seen. Given your other options are way thicker, and heavier I don't think you can go wrong with a little kel-tek.
It certainly beats having nothing at all.

They have their detractors. From what I understand, the current 'generation' has had some of the problems addressed. My wife and I just decided to get one of these for ourselves. If you do choose this one, DON'T buy it from Gander Mtn. I found a local FFL who quoted me a price $110 less than Gander's.
PM me if you want their info.

I'm not saying they're the greatest guns. But it beats a sharp stick. and the only other thing that compares to the size are little .25 cal pocket guns. I think the kel-tek is your best bet.

I have a Kel-Tec P3AT and bought it back in October 2007. I conceals like no other, right in the pocket holster. I have the extension on the magazine which helps with the grip.
The trigger pull is looooooooooong and HEAVY. It's not a range gun and I rarely shoot it. In fact I hate shooting it. But for close quarters self protection it's a good weapon. It's a good little summer carry weapon or as a BUG. I've put exactly 200 rounds thru it and have never had any problems.

i've got a P3AT and never had any problems with it. That being said I dont carry unless I need to as i feel extremely undergunned, I'll usually only carry it into a place like a sporting event where there will be a pat down. Have you considered ankle carry?

Dave,
What's the make/model of that pocket holster? I borrowed a P3AT from a friend last weekend so we could actually shoot one before making our decision. The friend had an identical pocket holster, which I liked, but he couldn't provide an specific info about it.

I don't have an ultra small BUG. I do have a Kahr P9 Covert which carries nicely.
This job I have it in a IWB. I cover it with a dark T shirt and clip the bottom of the T under the belt clip. For a bit more concealment, I ankle carry it in a DeSantis Apache rig. It's 9mm and I do have a Kytac pockit lockit kydex pocket holster but I rarely wear Docker style pants. I do suggest you practice with extracting the pistol to minimize draw time if you should ever need to. good luck, 27hand
