Default New pistol round?

Anyone had a chance to try out the new .327 Federal magnum??
Just read an article and it seems Ruger has chambered the SP 101 for it..4", 3 1/16", and 2 1/4".
Chambers the .32 S&W Short & Long, .32 H&R also.
According to the article, it pushes a 115 grain Gold Dot 1300 fps/431 ft lbs of energy. Didn't mention which barrel length.
Also holds six rounds verses 5 for the SP 101 .38 Special or .357 mag.

none that I know of here..

this subject had been brought up a couple times in the last month. A little criticism and a little support for it.

I want something in that new chambering. Actually, I want two somethings.. a pistol and rifle/carbine.

I've asked at several shops, and they said they don't expect to be able to get any of these new revolvers in for at least a few months, if not longer.

Not gonna do it better than the 357mag, or the 357sig for that matter. I will stick with what I have.

Default Re: New pistol round?

I read an article about it (Guns and Ammo??).
I guess I don't really see the point in it. I don't think that there is much of an advantage in the size of the gun - it looks to be the same as the .357.
Personally, one extra round isn't worth giving up the tried and true performance of the 38spl/.357mag.

I wonder how much the ammo will cost
