If you end going to Ace Firearms to get your new XD, you'll also only pay 6% sales tax, not 7%. Ace is in Washington County, not Allegheny County

Talking Re: XD9 SUB Compcat

The XD9 SC is my first firearm, and I love it.

I just received 2 accessory kits from copesdistributing.net

Link here: http://www.copesdistributing.net/pro...roducts_id=663

1 16 round mag, 2 10 round mags and a holster mag. They are pretty much out of stock everywhere else I looked. I wanted to make sure I got mine before I posted where you can still find them From what I understand, they don't plan to continue making these....

I got one from Copes for my Full size XD. I know where one is locally for the Subcompact. I should run out and get it. (I don't even have my subcompact yet and I am ordering a holster (crossbreed supertuck) and getting the accessory pack for it. ) It really is a heck of a deal if your an XD owner. You shouldn't pass it up. Easily $100 worth of stuff at half price.

The xd line of pistols are great. I was going to purchase a xd subcompact, but I already have a glock 33, so I unfortunately passed on it. The price you paid is a pretty decent price.

I "pulled the trigger" so to speak to lock myself into getting one.

I put on layaway a black xd sc 9mm today (put almost half down too)

It was 498, which after taxes only leave me about 330 left to pay.

I ordered a kit from copes too.

Now I need at least one of the pearce grip extension.

Can any one share what they're carrying their xd in? Im definitely not going to use the one that comes with it. Im quite interested in something in black leather.

The Crossbreed Supertuck IWB seems a popular choice for IWB carrying of an XD SC. Mine should be here any minute. I'll take some photos and let you know how it goes.

Anyone who wears anything larger than a typical "medium" glove should do themselves a favor and pick up some Pearce grip extensions, if they intend to carry with the 10rd mags.

And carrying with the 16rd magazine is just..I dunno. Clunky feeling to me. And I'm 6'2", about 230lbs...not small.

Good luck finding the right holster for the XD .9mm sub compact.
There are many holsters that fit the XD, but not the sub compact.
The holster that comes with the gun is awful, like a kids toy made by Fischer Price. (the company that makes weebles)
I got a skin tite from High Noon holsters. Thats another one that will be in the drawer soon.
MarcS suggested another holster company that will custom make a holster. I'm going to contact them and see if IN FACT they can make a holster for the sub compact.
Otherwise, the search continues.

I dont' have the pistol yet either, but I am getting my stuff order too. I just placed an order for a Crossbreed Supertuck. (Heard nothing but good stuff about this holster Michelle. Even on the XD forum, they all recommend it darn near) They come in black by the way. I got the combat cut cause someone on here recommended it (it is a bit more leather cut back to allow gripping the grip fully without the holster getting in the way. Now, I hope to get over and snap up the Accessory Kit at the local gun shop for the compact this week. Then all I need is the pearce mag extension. I want to get three of them, in case I decide to try shooting the IDPA matches I go to with it.

Now, if I would get that darn bonus already, I would go get my pistol.

I'm leaning towards the Bi-Tone (Silver and Black) but not set in stone yet (Probably end up with which ever one I get the best deal on). I want nightsights, so I might see what it would cost me to order it with a set on it already. But I think it may be cheaper to have them put on afterwards. (Just heard such scary stories about putting them on)

I just want a holster that sits well on my belt and doesn't ride so high that the gun is in my armpit.
Remember its different for women than men when it comes to a holster.

Oh, I got extra mags at Edinboro outdoors for about 18.00. I didn't need another one of those plasticicy mag holders.
My gun came with 1 10 round and 1 16 round. I just got one of each extra.
