Got back from the ragne earlier. I had taken two 40 cal magazines that I had worked on to hold 9mm. Wanted to see how they worked. Not a clinch the entire time I shot them. Slide stayed back after the last round as it is suppose too. Worked great.

I'm happy. Now my subcompact carries 13 rounds. With one in a pocket. That is 25 rounds of ammo. Should be able to hold off a Zombie Hoard or two with that much ammo.

In case you wanted to try this. Here is the link that I used. Great pics with easy to follow directions. I'm reposting it since it is back a couple pages and takes me forever to find it.

Great to hear your firsthand experience with this. Makes me feel more comfortable if I get the 40SW compact kit and modify it like you did.

i run mine the same way. Got maybe 500 rounds through the mag since I "adapted" it. No problems.

$45 is about the norm for these things. And they are getting harder and harder to find. So, jump on them when you find them.

I know where there is one left at a local gun shop. I'm going to run out and get it this week if it is still there. That will give me 6 magazines for the Subcompact. I can shoot the USPSA with all of those.

Really liked those sights kaos has on his now

BIG FRONT DOT

going to look into how much $$$ it would cost to get the tritium versions, I like my NS's in the night, but in the light that big front dot is excellent.

What did he get again? And do they come in night sights. I thought they were TFO's. Is the front sight really that much bigger?
