When I eventually get into that stuff...I have no doubt that my xd will perform quite well, It's me that I worry about.

Id like to see if the trigger gets any smoother before I think about it...it's pretty exspensive from what I've heard as well.

So I installed the XD sights myself, about 30 minutes of go time and it was done, not too shabby I would say!

anyone shoot any +p+ out of theirs?

I carry, and have shot plenty of, +p speer 124grain short barrel 9mm and the kick over regular is not even too pronounced. The XD handles the xtra power real well, but I have some (100 rounds) hydra-shock +p+ and want to try that stuff out.

I've never put any +p through mine. Although, I do on occasion use hollow points and the gun is definitely a little bit more "punchy".

Shoot an entire course of a IDPA Classifier with my subcompact today. I was impressed with most of my shooting. That little gun will do its part if I just do mine. Not sure how I rated. Won't be added up till later. But I know I did pretty good compared to most of the other guys that were there.

Oh, and to make it as realistic as possible. I also used my crossbreed supertuck as my carry holster. I did get some wierd looks. But after I shot, most of those went away.

Heck, I'm almost thinking about shooting the USPSA courses with it.

I received my supertuck for my CZP01 the other day. Very happy with it, thanks for the advice.

I would also like to get a mod to correct the spelling error in the title of this thread..

Well the XD9 subcompact held its own at the Classifier this past weekend. I had mentioned that I thought I did pretty good. Well, I ended up being the 9th high shooter out of 22. Not bad for using a IWB holster and a Subcompact pistol. I also made it to Marksman Division. Made me happy for my first official qualifying shoot.

Yep, this small little pistol will kick butt if you give it the chance too. I can't wait to see how much better I get with it as the year continues. I have barely had a chance to shoot it up to this point. Wait till I get use to it. I love this pistol.

My crossbreed should be here any day now.

Michele, they're expensive if you're just looking to try them, but I have some extra that you're welcome to try (+p 124gr Speer gold dot hollow points) at the group shoot.

I went through a box before I made it my carry ammo and there is noticeably more snap in the recoil. Im actually considering carrying 147 gr self defense ammo though...might get a box to see.

Decisions, Decisions. I am torn, but leaning toward the heavier bullet.

Did you see the Black Talon for sale in the classifieds? We should all go together and buy it and split it up among us subcompact shooters. Suppose to be "Kick A**" ammo for the 9mm. Anyone interested in splitting on the group buy?

He lowered the price!!!!!
