At the shoot, can one of you kind gentlemen let me try one of your pearce extension mags.
Are they much different than the 16 round mag?
I'm curious to see the difference with the extension on the 10 round mags.
Thanks!

Ill let you fondle my piece.

My grip extensions too

j/k

But in all seriousness they're shorter than the 16 rd mag extensions and have a nice curved lip on them to aide control a bit.

Feel free to run em ragged at the shoot, I'll most likely be at the house making jokes about furries, caturday and maternity pants.

THANKS KAOS!!

I just wanna give the extensions a try.

I'll probably be shooting the .9mm all day anyway, being i'm bringing my son and he'll probably just kidnap the AR!

Nice!

Im trying to get together a bunch of abused old ar parts together and build like a retro beat-up AR...should be fun!

Currently looking for a beat up old used receiver...so thats my goal.

I'll join the ar club, but Ill be like that kid with patches in his clothes that everyone is embarrassed to know.

Well if you can pry my AR out of my son's hands, please run a few mags through it. If you can't, put you hand on your hip, shake your finger in his face and say "i'm gonna tell your mother".
Seriously, give my AR a workout. She loves being manhandled!

Hey KAOS. You say the pachmyer rubber finger grooves are all that huh. OK, guess, I'll look around and see what I can find. Wish I knew what size you got. Worse case, I send them back.

I just nabbed up a 40 acc. Kit off a guy out this way. I still haven't done the mod on the magazines yet. Been just a bit to busy lately.

I did get the extensions and like them a lot. Doesn't mess up the concealability, but sure makes a nice difference in the grip you have.

Won't make this shoot. Going skiing up north. Maybe another day.

first of all, your small link takes you to the medium.

you want the small grip my friend
http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpag...849&t=11082005

Takes about 25 minutes and some odd looking faces to get it on in 7 degree weather. Lycan said some dish soap would have helped.

With the small model you need zero trimming near the grip safety, functions fine right out of the packaging.

Happy Shooting!

You know, I think it was the "small". The small one has 1 finger "hump".
Before I bought it, I took it out of the package to kind of measure it against the grip. Anything larger would have covered the grip safety or hung past the magwell.
Get the "small". It will definitely fit properly.

I'm surprised Lycan recommended dish soap rather than Crisco!

OK, I got to do some bragging. Sorry, but I just have too. Hey, it's about the XD subcompact. You will enjoy it.

Steve and I attended a USPSA Range Officer class out at East Huntingdon this past weekend. It was pretty neat, and will come in handy since they are starting a league out at a local range that we both shoot at.

Anyway, today we go out to run a course of fire. Mostly to give us a chance to be RO's. But it was also fun to watch all the weird and neat guns that these guys use. Weighted barrels, porting, Huge magazine wells, extended magazines, light loads, light springs, speed holsters that barely qualified as a holster, extended magazine carriers. If you ever saw Lycan's set up, you know what I am talking about.

Have to say, Steve and I didn't expect to do very well. I mean, we were shooting stock XD's with IDPA legal gear. Yep, we were expecting to get our butts kicked big time.

I figured if I was going down, I might as well use the SUBCOMPACT. Yep, I decided to use my sub against all these tricked out pieces made just to shoot fast and acurately.

Now, you had 9 different targets. With some that were half hidden, some were 3/4 hidden with only the head as a "A" shot. ("A" shot would be 5 pts. Best you can get) You had to lean out around walls, shoot thru doors, it was a blast. We loved it. (Kind of like running the house at the PAFOA Shoots)

Well, I'm not saying how everyone else did. But I will say that Steve and I held our own. In fact. I shot 18 out of 19 "A's" with one miss. (Big Smile on my face that was for sure) And I shot as quick as I could. I wasn't taking my time. 2 of my 18 "A" hits were head shoots. I had someone walk up and ask me if they could check out the pistol I was shooting. Now there's a nice compliment amongst this crew.

Yep, That silly little XD subcompact not only shot good. It kicked A**.

My 3 inch barreled, stock pistol, and I definitely out shot the majority of the shooters with tricked out guns that were there ( I will give myself a little credit). Steve and I walked away holding our heads high. We represented PAFOA, and our local shooting club very well.

I love my Subcompact.
