The only bad thing I have ever heard about XD's is that changing the sights are a booger. If I go that way, I am paying a gunsmith to do it and save me the grief. I might even just get a Crimson Trace Laser for on it.

There was a good thread somewhere on here about Night Sights.

One on how hard they can be to install yourself.

Would like to get one with nightsites on it already if I could.

Cove Creek had 2 in stock last I was in there. One was the 2 tone, one was all black. Call before you drive up. Ask for ERIC, and tell him that BRANTNER sent you in....he might work with ya if ya know what I meanz.

Cove Creek has about 100 handguns and more long guns that you would want to look at in a day. Prices are REALLY good. Compare his prices with guns you are looking at or already own....then you tell me.

I don't think any of the XD's he has are fitted with factory nights. My cousin bought a XD9 Service a while back and none of them had nights.

PS: Please tell me that pink XD isnt real. If it is....the owner is about as crazy as I am. My sporting clays shotgun is purple. A pink carry gun?

Yep, the pink XD is for real. Shoots really well too. It belongs to Michelle (Not only is she crazy. She is originally from NEW YORK. And you would never guess that if you talked to her ). She is on here all the time. You will be hearing from her I'm sure.

I will call them (Cove) and talk to them tomorrow. Thanks for the scoop. May just drive down for the looksie.

You don't want to know my experience with my "rental" XD9 subcompact.

Hell, it's the biggest reason that I will never touch an xd anything ever again in my life.

2 XD-9 sub's, 6 different mags, 3 different ammo brands, multiple FTF's (Classic Pistol a couple of years ago).

Accuracy and comfort sure were good though! 15,000+ rounds later through my G26 and I'm happy with my decision.

I got my XDSC9 a few weeks ago. Used olive drab with 2 10rd mags and the other accessories. Only got to shoot it once so far, but I love it already. I may get a pair of Pearce Grip Extensions just to give my pinky finger a little more room.
