My favorite thing about the people on XDtalk is they're open minded about other gun brands besides Springfield and the XD. There are a number of members there that just enjoy the conversation and the people enough to hang around that forum more than any others even when they don't own XDs. It's a fantastic forum and it's one of the few forums where you rarely see flame wars over brands.

When I decide to start carrying, I think this will be the gun I purchase for it. I would very much like to see any pics. It is the most attractive compact weapon that I have seen, IMO. I really liked shooting my friend's full size xd40, it was really easy to pick up and shoot accurately right away. For some reason, my Sig has a fairly steep learning curve to use it efficiently (I think the trigger pull is a little rough).

Click the link below for a detailed Range Report from the last PAFOA Shoot and the Subcompact. I was like you, leary of the longer range accuracy of the pistol. That was put to rest after spending the day shooting Michelles. (The thing that makes this range report so neat. This is the first time I spent any real time shooting the subcompact. I was impressed. And as you can tell by this thread. I wasn't the only one. Can't wait to get mine and really get to spend some time shooting it)

Some of the features of the XD lend itself to a nice nightstand pistol as well.

I can tell in the dark if there's a round chambered and if the striker is ready to release. Im working with snap caps now to clear jams in the dark too. Eventually I'll learn to strip it in the dark too (ive only had it for a week).

Im definitely going to add a set of night sights (3 dot) at some point, and might have a trigger job done.

It's a very nice pistol indeed.

The only guns that I can shoot better are the beretta 92 and the 1911 (ive only shot each once, but they fit my hand better than anything ive ever fired)

Man, I am dying for sure now. Recieved my Crossbreed Supertuck in the mail today. And it is 7 more days till I can pick up the Subcompact. UGGHHHHH.

Just a quick pic to show it off anyway. I got the black leather with what is called the "combat cut". This cuts some of the leather away from the grip area, making it a bit easier to grab the pistol in a hurry.

A top view of the Supertuck really shows you just how thin this baby is. Can't wait to get the Sub so I can start carrying it. Note: this will also carry the full size XD.

I got my full XD and put it in the holster. Nice fit. And it feels great on my hip. I can't belived the comfort the minute I put in on. Even against bare skin it felt great.

Crossbreed supertuck with a Full Size XD. I already love the kydex, as it allows me to re-holster with extreme ease, even with an IWB holster.

I've been trying to decide between the

K&D Dakota Defender:

Crossbreed Supertuck:

Comp-Tac Minotar Spartan:

Comp-Tac CTAC:

The Dakota Defender is the only one that's made with all leather. I tried one on with a 1911 and loved it. I currently have a SideArmor IWB and it works well, but I'd like something a little more adjustable and I like the holsters with two clips to stabilize the gun even more.

The Comp-Tac CTAC looks to be the most adjustable of them all and might be the direction I. Not sure yet. All of them get rave reviews.

Yep, it's a 9mm. It was passed around along with Michelle's subcompact for comparisons.

From what I have seen and used so far. The clips hold very well. Holster doesn't budge when I draw and it rides very nicely on my hip and the weight is on the belt. Must say, most comfortable hoslter I haver put on. Looking forward to "breaking it in." Can't wait to see how it feels then.

They all look like quality holsters. Doubt you could go wrong with any of them.

I want my subcompact!!!!!
