I read an article in handgunner about the gunsite 250 course where if you're within 5-7 yards they teach the students to be able to use only the front sight and still put one in the head portion of the target.

Pretty impressive, but I dont have the cash to fund 5 days of all day shooting with professional instruction.

I will say that my xd, after shooting it today (Thanks Shawn!) fires successive shots well in either hammers or double taps.

I had a really nice double tap with both holes touching the nose of the zombie targets that GROPA brought.

and the super cool hooked up 13round subcompact mags work flawlessly.
put just under 200 through them today, no probs. did a few with only 5 rounds in cause it was really the last round I was worried about.

How hard was it to do? You really have my interest. What was the cost of the magazines?

Just recieved my magazine extension from my Ebay purchase. I want to get 3 more, cause I really think I am going to use my total carry set up for IDPA this year (Subcompact, not my full size pistol. And my crossbreed supertuck underneath my shirt.). It is suppose to be realistic. And it should be good practice just in case. Only difference is I don't carry extra magazines, and I probably should.

It is going to be a long two weeks waiting to pick up my pistol. But I have to wait. Funds just aren't there.

mtbkski,

please post pics of the setup once it arrives, extensions..holster.

Im really trying to decide on both an iwb and an owb..the one that comes with it is ok for the range but id never use it in public.

I think I'll fashion it for under the desk or behind the nightstand eventually...or the car.

I already know i want the pearce extensions...the things i want, but dont need are a hogue handall and id really like to try one of the lasermax lasers.

But....Id rather pick up my first AK before they're "banned" again..god forbid the wrong candidate wins.

On that note...anyone aware of a place to get a cheap AK or even a barreled receiver? (pm me, i dont want to hijack the thread)
