A few tips I have to share: bend your elbows, both of them as this will allow more of the recoil to be absorbed by your arms and it will not be transferred to your torso. This will allow you to be "moved" less by the recoil of a big bore handgun. Try shooting double action. I actually shoot better in double action than in single. The trick is acting like you do not know when it is going to fire once you have committed to the firing sequence. This may help you get more of those hits on the target.
Lastly, I know you are a lefty in a right dominated world. Swap hands and use your more dexterous hand to load the cartridges into the chambers. Using ones "better" hand to just hold the revolver is a bit of a waste and is slower. One final tip I just happened to notice was how one grips the revolver. It is advantageous to use a high hold on a medium to light recoil revolver to get the bore axis more in line with your forearm. With a hand cannon like this it is actually better to get a lower grip (for a greater bore axis angle) to let the revolver torque back and up more than transmit that recoil to the hand.
I hope these help a bit.Join the groups protecting your rights from the fools trying to take them from you!

That's insane!
Do you own that handgun? If so, a big congratulations.
Was your cameraman drunk? I was getting seasick. I hope your productions don't look like that

Re: Ruger Super Redhawk "Alaska" - this thing is a BEAST
i had a ruger super redhawk in 454 casull and it was a real bitch to shoot so i don't think i'd be interested in shooting 454 out of the alaskan. i have a taurus raging bull in 454 and because the barrel is ported it's a lot more manageable o shoot. shooting the super redhawk in 454 was worse than shooting my SW 500 magnum. i wouldn't mind having the alaskan in 44 magnum which would be a lot cheaper with less recoil.
