Help identifying semi-auto
I am trying to find information about a small semi-auto owned by my wife's father. I searched last night and again this morning, but could not find any information online about this particular handgun.
Knowing I'm into guns, while we were at his antique shop, he asked me about getting a replacement spring for the clip for this gun. I could probably find one if I knew what the hell the gun is!
It is a small semi-auto (not blued). It is about four inches long and has the following on the slide...
Model 1914 Automatic Pistol Cal. 635
The Victory
On the other side of the slide is the seriel number (124XX).
One other note which may help is an "EU" within a circle on the bottom of the clip. There are lines above and below the EU.
I do not have a photo and I do not have the gun here for any follow-up.
When I searched online, I found some hits regarding Mausers, but it is definately not a Mauser. I did find that the EU seems to indicate that it has something to do with perhaps being a Star firearm? Here is what I found on one website...although that is not to say that the clip is original to the gun
EU: Esperanza y Unceta, Guernica, "Model 1915 (or 1916)," "Astra Patent," "Brunswig Model 1916," "Victory"
Any help is appreciated.
