Wink New pistol/your opinion?

Sorry, I accidently posted this in the wrong thread (gun pictures) and can't delete it. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Recently purchased a Ruger .380 LCP (compact). I got tired of luging around my Ruger SP 101 .357. Any opinions/info on the .380??? Thanks

I have a Ruger LCP as well, it's a nifty little piece. However, I'm not a big .380 guy. It's really kinda on the edge of minimum with what I look for in a self defense cartridge. Don't get me wrong, shot placement is almost everything, but I try not to go below 9x19 for self defense.

a 380 in your pocket is better than your .45 sitting in the safe

I carry a Ruger occasion, SP101, and I don't even notice its weight. I think you get accustomed to it if you carry it enough. I don't own any 380s. You might try the Kel-tec FP9. It is very light weight.

.380/ 9mm Kurz (short).....the name says it all. But the guns are handy little numbers. Ammo is expensive and hard to find right now (in some places).
I'm curious.... usually a person will ask the questions before buying so I'm guessing it was the gun that was attractive and what it fired secondary.
Kinda anticlimatic.
Pete

While the .380 is low as a defence round, it is a good defence round at short range and better than nothing. In the summer, I carry a Ruger LCR with .38 +P's most of the time and a Bersa .380 other times. While I like the harder hitting +P, the .380 has 7 shots and at 10 yards, everyone goes in the bulleye. Carry what you have and can use best.
