Default para p16-40

just won this baby on gunbroker, I think i'll be pretty happy with it. anyone know if this will take any normal 1911 parts? only thing i really want to change is the front sight to fiber optic, and to a skeleton trigger.

Normal internal 1911 parts will fit ......EXCEPT.....the trigger and magazine release.

Oops, I forgot the magazine housing pin is also longer (these parts are all larger due to the doublestack grip).

Brownells had some decent trigger last I looked.....

would something like an sti 2011 trigger be what i'm looking for?

and any tips when it comes to choosing the front sight as far as size goes? not to sure on if getting the wrong height will mess me up or if the adjustable rear sight can compensate for all sizes

Hey now.....my STI is a plastic 1911/2011.......

I like the .090 width front site for precision shots. It's about as narrow as you can go and still have a fiber optic. Your dealer should be able to tell you what heigth is right. I recommend a call to www.dawsonprecision.com

STI used to make a trigger for the para, but the regular trigger for STI 2011 guns won't fit...I'm pretty sure.

Did you check Brownells? www.brownells.com

i'm in an auction for this trigger group, I emailed fusion and asked if it would fit my gun and they said it would. $55 so you can't beat that price http://www.fusionfirearms.com/servlet/Detail?no=303

I've got a guy that will install it buy he won't tune it to about 2.5lbs for liability reasons??
