Recommendation for Springfield 1911
Hi all,
I'm looking for a good smith to do alittle work to my GI 45. I almost hate to change it but I want to shoot IDPA and I need alittle more room..possible a flat mainspring and a beaver safety. Know anyone near HBG, PA?

Check out Burwellgunsmithing.com. I just saw him the other day about my Springfield Compact. He was showing me some stuff he has done, and he also shoots IDPA. Funny thing is I've known him for years and never knew he was a gunsmith.

Not near Harrisburg, but EGW is probably the best 1911 builder in PA. There is a long wait for a build, but you will get quality.
